I recently installed the Spotify Snap [1] on Ubuntu and was really easy and works flawlessly.

The url of the video's name explains about the YouTube Data API upgrade: "As we upgrade the YouTube Data API to bring more features, we’ll begin shutting down the old version on April 20, 2015.
