Hello, is there any good software i can run on ubuntu or centos to scan a website for malware that anyone knows about? - one that is kept up-to date with latest malware. - has an api/binary so i can sent it commands and get results ( via nodejs ) - flexible with settings

something like clamAV would be perfect if it could scan a website

Hello, I am looking for a malware scanning service to offer to clients. One that has a good API so we can do the billing and is well priced. And one that is good at detecting any malware on a website. Does anyone have any experience with VirusDie? They look to be good, my only concern is that they not be good at detecting all the different kinds of malware, and i was a little concerned that they are based in Russia, as client may not like that. I am after some 1st hand experience if any has any? Or a recommendation on another provider.

Hello, This may be a long shot. but no harm in asking right? Does anyone have any experience in create a trusted certificate authority. Creating all the need Infrastructure, guidelines and submissions to get the root certificate included in all major browsers, OSs, devices etc.. And would they be interested in a new project. Hello, I am constantly on hackernoon.com reading user submitted content. And i have also submitted some which have been published. I was wondering if anyone has other sites which are similar that you can submit articles to be published. But which the content is higher quality, reviewed and approved if good. As other sites i have found where anyone can submit and it is published without any standards/review process are not so good. In the tech field only tho.

hi all, Is there any services like a CDN or reverse proxy that i can use to point to my web application and add custom domains. So it would be like a reverse proxy but the main thing i need is for it to manage the SSLs so i dont have to sort it out. It will only be pointing to static files so a CDN could work if it has a good API and is somewhat flexible with custom headers.

So a client requests to use a domain via my app. They point the DNS record where it is needed. i request to add the domain to the provider i use, they setup the domain with an SSL from lets encrypt and renew it when needed. And the domain loads the static files from my pull location. I can also set any needed headers.

So i am writing a technical book. And i want to get it out to the most places i can. I would like to publish it online as an ebook and print using a Print on demand service.

I have been going through so many posts on HN and other places, but i can't get a easy answer.

The problem i am seeing is, if i use one tool. It will create a good ebook, but wont be good for a POD service, or amazon.

Can anyone recommend a single app for OSX that I can use that will output the final book for EPUB/PDF/MOBI and then can also be used for a Print on demand service. Or if no single tool, maybe a easy process from a single point of writing/editing?

I was playing around with the OSX iBooks Author app which i like, but i am not sure how good that will be with a service to POD and amazon.

I am writing a short manual on SSL/TLS/HTTPS/Cryptography and i am wanting to know what people would like to see in such an ebook. I want to think of it as a "missing manual" that you could hand to someone to quickly read up on the subject and have all the basic knowledge needed to join discussions in the field. Or to start a course that touches on the subject and required basic knowledge. By short i mean about 20,000 to 25,000 words.

I work at a Mac Service provider, and we are now targeting enterprise clients. Which is a whole new ball game in terms of getting them to even look and consider us as a support service provider for all their mac gear. I have been asked to take over the marketing side of things and i am having a hard time thinking up some ideas. As the things we usually do to get in front of potential clients wont work, such as maildrops. We really need to get our business into the eyes/minds of the higher ups such as the CEO or CTO otherwise nothing really ever happens.

Does anyone have any ideas of experience on how to get a support service provider into the eyes/mind of the higher ups at an enterprise level business?
