I manipulate light for a living, mostly in the infra red side of the spectrum.
I also manipulate light in the visible side of the spectrum as a hobby when doing astrophotography.

I know very basic C from doing Arduino coding, but I want to gather a deeper understanding, including how to struct a [non-Arduino] project, how to debug, what are the correct types to use, etc.
