Ask HN: Family link API?
Any ideas if there is an API coming? How can I get that data if not?
Thanks lot

We think that:
1) Gestures on apps (abstract glyphs sepcially) are cumbersome to develop. Read more http://bit.ly/ZTCwBb.
2) They should be cross platform so you don't have to code each time on each platform.
3) They should be web-based.
4) There are private APIs and few people/companies are deciding about their use.
5) Should be opened so everyone can create and share.
6) Should not interfere with your app at any extend.
Given these arguments:
Would you use gestures on your app if would be as simple as draw online and use everywhere?
At gesturekit.com we are taking care of these six points and want to provide a very simple way how to use them and implement them.
Thanks very much for the feedback, we appreciate. @gesturekit
I am creating a community project committed to open the development of gestures to make it very simple and friendly to create and build applications using gestures. For mobile, for wearable and the Internet of Things.
My vision is opened, where gestures can be created for a variety of devices with the same API, on the cloud and where new languages that are debated and discussed can reach new standards of interaction.
I called it gestureKit and I would love to have some feedback.
Looking forward to hear opinions and feedback.
Thanks lot,
Jose

We created gestureKit to take the pain out of working with gestures. We have cross-platform support and you can store your gestures on the cloud distributing them to any app via online editor and non-intrusive overlay plugins.
We’ve created guides to make it really easy to get started. We’re passionate about gestures and making them easy to work with for developers. Check out what we’ve done so far and if you have any questions or comments, shoot.
