Is an EMBA from a top program worth the time and money?

I understand all the backlash towards the companies supporting SOPA i.e GoDaddy but while hurting these companies individually may cause them to reverse course it doesn't really solve the big problem which is SOPA.

In the case of GoDaddy since domains are really a loss leader for them wouldn't we be better suited to take our time and money say $1 per domain and contribute it to a fund that would lobby against these sorts of attacks on our freedoms and the Internet.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for attacking those who are for SOPA but since money is really what does the talking (see GoDaddy reversal) if we really want a favorable result / solution in congress we will need to vote (push) more with our pocketbooks not just punish the supporters of bad legislation.

Thoughts...

EDIT: And if a company really wants to earn my business, (I have control of 200+ domains) don't just oppose SOPA, "FIGHT IT" and I'll glady stand with you and support you with my spending dollars.

I have a product we currently sell locally and are planning on taking nationally. Right now we only accept paid in full via credit card or ACH debit but we would like to be able to accept payment over a term (6 months / 12 months) which is often requested by our customers. Is there a good service that provides this functionality? What if any experience can you share about how to do this?

We have a dilemma.

We have come up with two product ideas in the last few months. We have done research on both markets and we have had great response to both ideas. Here is where things get tricky.

On one hand we have a product idea that definitely solves a problem for a small industry. We have spoken with 10 or so players in this industry and they would all be willing to pay for our software (they are hungry for a solution). This would be a very stable income producing product / company that could go on for years innovating in this industry but its growth potential would be somewhat capped. I can see it getting to 5+ million a year in revenue with 60% profit margins but then it becomes much more difficult to grow. Getting to 10 million would be a short term ceiling (Pending some other added revenue sources).

On the other we have an idea for a consumer product that has a huge market but a lot less predictability. Obviously the market is much bigger; but there are other players, the price points are much smaller, and there will be continuous competition because of potential for growth and future payouts.

What project do you think we should pursue?

Is it possible to get funding for a smaller market product?

I was wondering if anyone on HN has had any experience buying or selling domains at a live auction.

What can / should be expected? (both in terms of activity and price)

Is it a good idea / bad idea?

Is it better to just acquire or sell an unused domain at a resale site like sedo?

We are quickly approaching the point at which our MVP is ready for beta testing by the outside world. How long should we run a private beta (if at all) before opening up to all?
