Title. I finally got annoyed enough at work with a colleague who posted an 11 point list they clearly hadn't read or reviewed as a comment on my PR that my reply started with 'Thanks Claude...'. No doubt in my mind that I spent far longer on my curt rebuttal than they did on the review. I'd like to hear from folks whose organisation uses LLMs for coding effectively and what kind of best practices they have put in place to avoid these situations.

As per the title. I tend to travel a lot and don't often have comfortable access to my laptop. I would like to run quick, small research ideas quickly. My workflow would be:

- Ask an LLM to put together a PoC - Get the code and send it to my home PC or some cloud offering - Run and get results

Has anyone here put together a pipeline like this? I would be curious to hear thoughts on processes people have set up.

I've recently joined a new company and I've begun to realize that I had never previously been exposed to good PRs and general peer review. My colleagues seem able to pick up on many details that could be improved in each others' and my code. These range from minor comments about docstrings, variable names to more general comments about the philosophy of the codebase and particular function implementations. Whereas I find it hard to pick up on anywhere near the same amount of detail. Are there any good resources out there on how to achieve a thorough review, akin to the resources available on how to read a scientific paper? Any tips from the community?

The front page currently has a post on Deepmind's latest AI which can solve International Math Olympiad problems at a very high level. They state that this is in part built upon the AlphaZero reinforcement learning algorithm. I was curious as to any good resources to learn about this, as it appears that the AlphaZero implementation was never made public.

We're (well, my wife is) in the early stages of a pregnancy and i'd like to read up about the topic from a scientific, relatively unbiased point of view to learn what we can expect but also how to best support her and the future child. However, no matter what I search on Google all I seem to get are lists of the 'Best XX pregnancy books of 2023'.

My feeling is that the science of pregnancy and parenthood probably doesn't change every year, so I'd like to get some recommendations from the HN crowd on books they've read which they have found useful.
