I need to find a lawyer who understands blockchains due to a dispute. Anyway know an attorney who understands the technology?

When raising a seed or pre-seed, is it better to aim for a few large checks, or lots of small checks (50-100k)?

I'm about to hit up some Micro VC and Super Angels. However unlike most startups I'd like to ask for smaller check sizes, rather than larger, because it decreases dilution and makes the deal close faster (perhaps).

If I were to ask for check sizes of approx $50k, how would that sound?

I'm talking Bay Area.

Example: 100k raised at 2M cap: that's a ratio of 0.1:2, ie 0.05:1

Is this typical?

Say you're doing a seed round and raise ten safe's, each at 100k with a 1M cap.

Later on, you want to do a priced round at a 2M valuation. Since 2M > 1M, all of the ten seed round investors will receive 10%, correct? So you will lose exactly 100% of your company.

It seems safes can be dangerous.

How much runway did you have when you started your startup?

What is a typical cap during a pre-seed round?

When you did your pre-seed or seed, were you asked for a credit check?

Rough estimates please :). By angel investor I mean someone who writes convertible/SAFE notes at a reasonable cap, more than 80k or so.
