Hello! I'm trying to build my own database for fun.

I'm only interested in the distributed part, not the database part.

I'm looking for papers that made important advancements in this area so that I can try to impoeme some of the features.

Any ideas?

I like to listen to podcasts while I run, it helps me keep distracted easier than music.

I thought that I might as well listen to some talks and learn stuff in the process. The problem is that most talks show code or diagrams that need video.

Are there any good tech talks that are audio only, or where the video is for support only?

Hackernews is what I would consider a website with solid discussion about technology. However it's extremely skeptical when it comes to cryptocurrency.

I'd like know if there is a similar technically minded community for crypto.

I sometimes read /r/CryptoCurrency but its mostly shilling and asking about prices, so it doesn't really interest me.

What advice do you have for people with the aforementioned years of experience. Can be about programming, engineering in general, life, whatever you want
