I have an idea I have been toying with for a long time and wonder if you guys still used forums in this day and age of social sites like this one etc.

So

How many other forums do you use? Are you very active on them? What forum software are they running if you know?

Can we have a separate page for the ASK YC stuff?

The reason is I think it will make for better discussions and keep them out of the news queue because they are not news. I still think they should have karma etc.

Maybe have a checkbox on the form to flag post as question/discussion.
