We all know that when you delete your facebook account, it still exists within their servers but the reasons why that make sense (i.e. in case you want to come back, their data using purposes) are not as applicable if you've passed away.

So there is the question of ownership. For example, could your family request control of your account? I'd rather this than facebook or my account sitting idle but then again, if you haven't consented to it, that doesn't seem right.

There is also the question of your footprint. Does facebook delete your account on your behalf (assuming they are notified) or does it just sit there like a virtual tombstone?

Finally there is the question of information. Assuming facebook knows about your passing ans deletes your account, do they still hold that information in their servers as they do with other people who have deleted their accounts?

"How can I stop scammers from targeting my local classifieds site?

I run a local classifieds site (http://www.smartbrideboutique.ca/)for wedding related products. We're having some serious trouble with fraudulent buyers e-mailing every listing on the site with an identical e-mail - some sellers are being fooled.

Our site is coded in django, and we're using google apps as our mail host.

Does anyone have any suggestions or resources that we can check out to fend off our fraudulent friends??

I'm trying to increase my SEO so I wanted to start using a PR service that could help and I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts and/or recommendations if whether PR Web is the best way to go or if there are competitor sites out there that are as efficient at a better cost. I know you got to spend money to make money but with their prices ranging from 80 - 360 USD per press release, it could really ad up. Especially because I'm in the ticket domain (www.tickettrunk.com) so I'll need to do it several times.
