Ask HN: How do you keep a private journal?
I tried paper for some time, but (long story) I had to get rid of my notebook when a nosy acquaintance of mine started looking through my personal belongings.

For things, I don't get around to doing, maybe someone more talented than myself could eventually pick them up.
I've seen some people do everything in the terminal. Should I learn vim or emacs? Use a TUI email client? Uuse TUI chat clients? Why?
It will probably be a long time till I'll have another opportunity to invest time into something like this.
In the meantime, I've used pass [1] with a yubikey, which works great, but miss the convenience of using a fingerprint to authenticate.
I've heard a lot about Bitwarden. I don't love the android app, and I'd miss the simplicity of pass [1], but maybe I should go with it regardless?
What password manager(s) do HN readers use?

I have used ProtonMail and Signal for a few months and love it so far.
I'd like to move my contacts and calendar away from Google.
ProtonMail offers contacts, but they don't integrate with other apps on Android (maybe I just use it anyway?)
I've read about EteSync [1], which allows for end-to-end encrypted contacts and calendar. However, I'm not sure how comfortable I am with trusting that a project of that scale implements cryptography correctly[2] (no offense @tasn)
Maybe NextCloud?
What does the HN community use to store contacts/calendar?
