Ask HN: Building a Retail/Merchadise E-Commerce Store

Hey HN. I was redesigning a restaurant's website when the Owner approached me about starting an E-Commerce store, which is a space I really don't know much about. He wanted to include not only his store's merchandise and memorabilia but also a collection of furniture, art and other things from a certain time period from other marketplaces.

I know of the popular platforms like Magento, Shopify and Wordpress plugins like WooCommerce to use as a starting point. But which would be the best option for a small-sized restaurant trying to break in to E-commerce? And I guess the better question would be..where/how do I get started with selling other products within my own marketplace?
