In case this isn't obvious: this article celebrates an Axis victory. Apparently it was "heroic", and a movie was made about how heroic it was. The article is entirely written from an Axis perspective and talks about gaining an advantage over an Allied force in a positive light. It's strange that this is not called out anywhere in the article itself.

Because, at least in my opinion, it's not relevant. Most people know that the Germans and Italians were "the bad guys" and the Soviets were on the side of "the good guys" in WWII. The interesting thing about this battle is that the Italians did so well being on horseback while facing an infantry with machine guns.

I wonder at what point this becomes OK. I mean, I can't imagine what would happen if one said anything positive about a battle that Russia won in Ukraine today.
