I wonder at what point this becomes OK. I mean, I can't imagine what would happen if one said anything positive about a battle that Russia won in Ukraine today.
I guess I just completely, 100% disagree. Context matters. People comment on military tactics and strategies all the time, completely devoid of the ultimate goals of the combatants. I'm here thinking how someone couldn't be in complete awe of the story told in this Wikipedia page.
