Okay, if you are going to ignore addressing my points, can you at least please give me the number of people who contacted you or Dymytry, because they were distressed about the basilisk. I am genuinely interested in those.
If you're sceptical in general that there was distress out there from LW's treatment of the issue ... evidently you haven't followed LW on the topic in the past four years.

I am skeptical that over 10 people have been genuinely distressed about the basilisk itself. I am definitely not skeptical of the general distress caused by the event - the censorship and the general handling of it had a pretty big negative impact on the community and its members.
