I'll agree with a previous poster - slashdot, digg, have pretty much dropped off my reading habits - HN, NYT, and techcrunch (and sporadically groklaw and salon.com) are now my web distractions. Not every article can be about erlang.
Personally, I like seeing marijuana dosage turning into a matter of engineering.

This is why growers and retailers in the Bay area enthusiastically supported the recent pot tax passed in Oakland and are supporting a California pot tax - as soon as you start providing revenue to the government, you start looking respectable.
Just as you can legally smoke marijuana, you can legally grow it. All they're doing is growing (with a license) and cooking it into different foods, then selling it to medical marijuana dispensaries.
