Ask HN: How to apply for an internship opportunity in digital marketing?

I don't have formal background or theoretical knowledge of any kind of marketing,whether its a real world marketing or digital marketing on internet(Inbound/Outbound/whatever).

But i'm very much curious and interested in communicating with people socially, Leting them know about new products and ideas.

Currently, I have an opportunity to apply for a digital marketing internship for one great product startup in web commerce which require good social outreach and communication.

I'm wondering, how possible could i convince him in best attitude that i'm suited for this opportunity and could take up this challenge.
