It turns out that a capitalist system favours those who have capital, who coincidentally have all the power.
So “the market”, is literally controlled by those in power. Why would they give a shit about labour, who the capitalist owning class are benefitting from by training their models on?
To put it even blunter, Some people inherit power and exploit that power over those of us who have inherited a low status in society.
Your market is a facade.
I think a lot of people on hacker news are doomers and are trying to spread this message far and wide, when in reality, you really can change the world by being proactive with your thoughts and actions.
