Insane, I made almost the same thing but for basketball with my nephew recently: https://github.com/oeo/nba-fam

Interesting! With this one, I built it pitch by pitch until full games would come out and just had to tweak it a lot to get it realistic. I wouldn't know where to begin with basketball!
