The circumstances will force them to face the issues. Three points are relevant here;
1) The amount of money sunk into AI (trillions!) is never going to be made back.
2) Early AI adopters are finding out that it costs more to use AI instead of Humans.
3) AI adoption is making people dumber w.r.t. a specific job at hand. This means precious institutional knowledge is lost which directly translates to increased costs on extension and maintenance of crucial AI generated systems.
