What would you call this? Not doom scrolling, doom streaming? A little research gives us:
The Proleptic Wake:
> You void-stream your own obsolescence porn in a proleptic wake — automation anomie dressed as content, bricks going up with a smile.
Where "proleptic" is a real rhetorical/literary term meaning to anticipate something future as if already present. A wake that is happening before the death; Paraphrasing. And "anomie", Durkheim's term for the breakdown of social norms leaving people unmoored.
I also kind of like Doommaxxing, but I don't think that captures all of it.
