Can I file for a patent for my own if I am working for an MNC? And they don't come to claim it?

That should be covered in your employment contract. But usually, you are obliged to transfer the rights to the employer.

Consult a lawyer and company policies.

If it’s same or competing field likely not. Your contract should be covering that for company.
