Netflix acquires Ben Affleck's AI company (opens in new tab)

Doesn’t seem like this tech would be that difficult. Models more or less can do what’s claimed (like removing wires in a shot) out of the box. Is this a way to get goodwill in Hollywood for using AI tech?
