It also reminded me of all the multiple times I tried to warn InfoSec "risk managers" about the danger of malvertizing and how it could be used to track company employees. Why wouldn't those techniques be used to gather intelligence for surveillance operations? Especially with so many security professionals ignoring the risk.
No matter who you are, immigrant or billionaire oligarch, you will be tracked if you fail to take basic actions with your online hygiene.
