Human brain cells on a chip learned to play Doom in a week (opens in new tab)

I’m fairly sure, at any given moment, some of my brain cells are still playing Doom.

This reminds me of the bio-neural gel packs from Star Trek: Voyager. Wild to think that this could become a reality.
