Pentagon threatens to cut off Anthropic in AI safeguards dispute (opens in new tab)

Can't be half pregnant with this administration. Nobody sets limits on the war departments "what if" modelling. If it makes sense to model decimating the population "pour encourager les autres" and Anthropic doesn't want to continue the beatings until morale improves, what else did people think would happen?

Wouldn't the Pentagon be more like a loose cannon now than any time since it was first built?
