That's been the reality for longer than I've been alive. Nothing new about it in 2025 except that at some point we went from billions to trillions, but it's been unsustainable for decades.
Basically, we're all used to it. Most of us probably had a moment when we realized how screwed the system was and expected it to crash soon. Mine was in the 90s when personal bankruptcies were climbing fast. But they've managed to kick the can down the road so many times that complaining about it seems quaint now.
