As someone mentioned earlier, the idea of using a URI scheme to disambiguate link types is still relevant today, particularly in the context of modern web development where we have to deal with a plethora of link types (e. g. , HTTPS, WebSocket, etc. ). To take this further, I think it would be interesting to explore how we can apply similar concepts to other types of links, such as those used in messaging protocols or even file systems. ".
