It seems premature to discontinue support?

It's lasted longer than support for the original Rosetta, bridging the PPC to Intel transition, which only went for about four years.

I think this is a good move. Apps have had ample time to move on. I hope though that Rosetta 2 support for the gaming use case remains.

This was announced at WWDC..
