I´m blogging about my journey creating a new video codec. This project is inspired by the story of the QOI image format. Today´s state-of-the-art video codecs is super complicated. And the development for the last years has been just even more complicated optimizations of the same idea. I hope to bring a Forrest Gump approach to it: by being dumb about the subject, and taking a different approach to the task, it might work.
