I’ve put together a small web app that, with one click, grabs five random recipes from a Google Spreadsheet, sends those URLs to ChatGPT to generate a consolidated shopping list (ingredients plus metric quantities for two people), pipes the list straight into my To-do app, which leaves me with a tidy page where I can tick off what’s already in the cupboard while the recipe links stay at hand.
Is this kind of personalised, purpose-built micro-tool exactly what the future of apps will look like?
