I think the goal is to create bipartisan support for wholesale elimination of various parts of the federal government.
If my choice is between having the taxes I’ve paid weaponized against me or eliminating that agency and a reduction in my tax rate, at some point I’m going to choose the latter and push to have that function replicated at the state level.
