MCP servers must manage state which makes them difficult to use directly. There exists a proxy solution (
https://github.com/open-webui/mcpo) that transforms an MCP server into OpenAPI REST, handling the state. This llm-tools-openAPI plugin coupled with MCPO allows access to MCP servers directly from the command line without needing to manage states.
