Just being able to imagine something doesn't really cut it for concept items any more - you've got to have something vaguely functional you can demonstrate before it's worth seeking external attention.
The mounts in the Horizon games on PlayStation are even better as a concept, as they let you actually try it on. And they're probably as close to implementation as this.
Many of the comments are getting this wrong. This video is CGI-generated. However, a prototype exists but all it can reportedly do is stand up and balance itself at present.
My dreams of a real-life Giddyup Buttercup are finally coming true…in 25 years. Hydrogen powered? Seems about as realistic as a Fallout-style nuke-powered one.
This is just CGI of an idea somebody had, no part of this exists yet. Its no different than if some random grad student made a video of a flying car concept that they thought of while binging old sci-fi.
Cos a hydrogen engine is the best way to generate electricity. Given that the entire vehicle is around the same size as the fuel tank in a pickup truck, and hydrogen's very low volumetric energy density.
