Very much digging this Washington Monthly review,

The Abundance folks repeatedly cite Foundation American Innovation, and the Mercatus Center. Koch Brothers funded/affiliated anti-regulatory bodies. It seems so obvious, but so much of the anti-regulatory agenda greatly aids corporate behemoth's ability to grab and hold power. I would very much like a state which is probably active about supporting and funding new competitors, that has pro-conpetitive regulation.

Some of the things in this article contribute to the very same polarization they complain about.

We will not get more or better jobs by closing our gates to immigrants.

Maybe there are some people who actually advocate shutting down all immigration. But discourse surrounding immigration over several decades has centered on the amount of immigration and how the immigration happens. Legal vs illegal. The various types of visas and which are good and not so good and which types should be increased or decreased.

But these people take this stuff and paint it as if their opponents (who would be Republicans in this case for these 2 people) want to end all immigration.

These types of arguments increase polarization. When you paint your opponents as the most extreme version of the opposite of your position.
