they are accountable. Something goes wrong, atleast you know who to sue compared to this random dude who could steal all your crypto private keys tomorrow because you were busy using his browser. If you going to make an open source project especially a browser, I would prefer a person who is not anonymous

Then why should we trust you over a person who is trusted by tens of thousands of people?

You are also essentially anonymous. You've been on this site for 8 years with 300 karma. How do we know you didn't sell your account or farm it to generate dissent?

i am not making a browser but this guy is. you are downloading it on your machine, running your entire digital life via this guy. Even if the code is open source, have you actually read through everything to see if there is a backdoor of some kind. Bank accounts, ids, crypto wallet keys, just imagine all the things that are going through this person. If the guy is a good actor, no worries. Think of your course of action if the guy turns out to be a bad actor. You wouldn't even know who to sue
