Show HN: Grandfather clock audio emulator (Westminster Quarters) (opens in new tab)

I have fond childhood memories of my grandparents' epic grandfather clock filling their home with its pleasant Westminister Quarters chimes every 15 minutes. I wanted to be able to experience that nostolgia without actually buying a grandfather clock, but was suprisingly unable to find anything online that simply plays the quarterly and hourly chimes and runs in a browser, so I put this together for myself.

The samples I found seem to be a bit faster than what I remember, so I slowed down playback to 0.88x by default, but there's sliders for adjusting the playback speed and volume.

Honestly it sort of started as a joke just to see how long I could tolerate it, but after having it going on a pair of speakers in my house for ~24 hours, I'm growing surprisingly fond of it.

Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone else also finds it interesting or nostalgic.

Note: Depending on your device/browser/settings, you might need to explicitly allow the sound permission in the site settings, or at the very least interact with the page in some way initially so that the JS is allowed to trigger audio playback.
