Some high speed trains (in Spain, for one) require security checks to board as well. But they're way less intrusive or time consuming than flight checks.

I think this is literally _just_ Spain, isn't it? Can't think of anywhere else that does it routinely.

Canada doesn’t have high speed trains AND does insane security checks and luggage weigh-ins before you get on their trains.
Worst of both worlds.

Eurostar trains had security checks ~10 years ago. Not sure about now but I can't imagine they've stopped.

China does. Singapore does spot checks for MRT.
