Open the image in the Gimp. Duplicate layer adjust opacity then drag it sideways until they line up. Toggle layer visibility.....

Wait, why isn't there a service for this? Or is there?

Set layer mode to "difference" and everything that overlaps exactly fades to black.

On a stereo image sliding the top image is very interesting as areas at different distances fade at different positions.
