Little snitch is awesome (these folks make that)

Wish it were available on ios.

(but since apple has to give permission, it isn't)

Apple know it would give the game away and so exempted their own software from Little Snitch et al as of Big Sur https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24838816

This was fixed not long thereafter.
