For example in your job hunt did you ever find a position you felt you were the right fit for? So in addition to applying, you email the recruiter or hiring manager. Curious about what people's results are with this approach?

Mid-2000s. They had a terrible SAP-based recruitment form, which didn’t work with my Mac.

So I googled how their email addresses looked like and sent hiring manager + HR recruiter an email.

Got hired a few weeks later.
