No idea why it's getting pushed farther and farther down the front page despite getting lots of activity.

Because of many people commenting and possibly being flagged as well.

This one also got pushed down. Dang probably isn’t into this kind of post.

I believe posts that have significantly more comments than upvotes are automatically pushed down.
