macOS Sequoia Introduces Native Window Snapping

Apples implementation has some limitations. I haven’t figured out how to change the shortcuts for it yet, I am not sure if you can. The default requires using the globe key, which most external keyboards do not have.

You’re also much more limited in where you can snap stuff, no custom layouts or anything.

It is also much more finicky when using the mouse than magnet and rectangle, although it is still a beta so this may change before release.

Even on Windows where snapping has been around for almost two decades there are tools like Powertoys that people use to get more advanced snapping, I don’t think magnet or rectangle will go away.

Like with most things Apple puts into the OS, it's designed to serve the 80%. For power users, or anyone who doesn't fit into Apple's implementation, 3rd party apps can fill the gaps. These utilities will either adapt to better serve power users, or they'll shutdown. That's usually how it goes.
