Call me overly optimistic, but I believe that if we can literally automate ourselves out of the whole profession, I it would leave us with the more interesting problems, even if they're just about "what to do with our time, now that all of our basic needs are taken care of by automation".Haven't we been promised this for literally a century? We don't even have a four-day workweek.
