Social media giants must report efforts against terrorist and extremist content (opens in new tab)

Google, Meta, X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, WhatsApp and Reddit will be required to "answer a series of detailed questions about how they are tackling the issue" within 49 days, the online safety regulator announced.
