Yes, I agree: it is quite different to have a strong opinion during peace contra when bombs are dropping.

But are the current numbers this article cites because they are devout pacifists or is it because they wouldn't want to defend "their" country?

If we could only turn off the media stream and live civilized lives without worrying what global destabilization would bring us.
