This is going to stop determined teens for approximately the time it takes to download and install one of the hundreds of other messaging apps. The real benefit is some CYA for Meta and maybe it will make someone think twice before sending nudes.

It will work for those teens that don't want to receive nudes though.

An interesting demonstration of the dangers of relying on closed-source software.
