5) Somebody very vehemently disagreeing with Drew's (often radical) views. This could also be a simple transphobe, though I expect those people to have far juicier targets to attack.

I’m following Drew’s blog and don’t remember anything particular about trans rights (except some "I condemn those attacking LGBT’s rights", which is not particularly radical). Also, the attack (which had an obvious cost) would have no impact regarding this cause.

So, to me, this is quite unlikely.

It’s more likely than you might think overall, though I’ve seen more of it from the other side of the aisle.
