I admire the reaction of BambooLabs! They could have taken an aggressive stance, push a firmware to block rooting, take legal action or whatever… but instead they are giving the user a choice!
It’s quite opposite to a lot of other business that are addicted to taking away user choices.
It also seems to me that them being able to give user that choice points to a healthy business model, at least a sustainable one. Their hardware makes them money and is not just a platform for their cloud or support business to make money off.
I appreciate that!
