The “loading” for 2-3 seconds with black text on a dark blue background… This ain’t it.

Sorry to sound rude to anyone who puts their hard work into development, but HackerNews clones with a redesign continue to show me how good the original HN design is.

I don't disagree, but from the about[1] I believe the intention was to be able to capture HN for offline browsing including the submission.

I like https://brutalist.report and use it all the time. Only alternative I’ve enjoyed using (plus has other sites).

I got here from brutalist report. I love being able to quickly scan the first dozen submissions from HN as well as other news sites all at the same time.
